Motherhood Doesn’t Get Easier: What To Do When It’s Not Working for You - Season 1 Episode 3

We had such a great time during this interview, the pre and post conversation left me so encouraged and equipped to be uncompromising in all things beyond motherhood that I am called to accomplish. Reema is my sister friend in faith who is a mother of 4, lives in NYC, a wife, a vlogger and content developer who is unapologetically defining what motherhood should like for her while also providing a healthy example for her children to pour into themselves and use the overflow to bless others. We started off the episode with a good game of Pump or Dump to break some motherhood myths that we are releasing ourselves from. You can be expected to be blessed by the following in this episode:

  • How sacrificing your dreams is a disservice to your children
  • The importance of taking a break before you break down and being the first person to give yourself a break
  • Making independent time a standard for the family
  • Need to assess what you need and evaluate and be honest with yourself
  • Support has to start with you— you are your biggest advocate
  • Making the pathway of motherhood that fits you to meet the values you have as opposed to the motherhood status quo
  • Parenting as an anointing is a reminder that you are a child of God
  • The purpose and story of Dearest Father Ministry
  • Cry a lot less when you learn to pray better
  • Working through the resentment of motherhood
  • Understanding the season of motherhood that you re in and using that to give yourself grace
  • Having God as your Heavenly Father allows you to be an Earthly mother

Scripture Reference:

Proverbs 31
